Important Dates, Events & Closures

Classes run from early September to mid May.

Our first day of class is Monday, September 14, 2026.

Costume fees are due December 1, 2026.

Our recital will be in early/mid May.

All BDC students are expected to participate in dress rehearsal and recital.

Events

Closures

Bloom Dance Center follows the Acton/Boxborough. When A/B is closed, BDC is closed with the exception of professional/half days. Here is the list of days we are closed during our 2026-2027 dance season.

• October 12, 2026 - Indigenous Peoples Day

• November 11, 2026 - Veteran’s Day

• November 25-November 29, 2026 (Wednesday-Sunday) - Thanksgiving Break

• December 23, 2026-January 3, 2027 (Wednesday -Sunday) - Winter Vacation

• January 18, 2027 - MLK Jr Day

• February 15-21, 2027 - February Break

• April 19-25, 2027 - April Break

Regarding snow and other weather cancellations, we also follow Acton/Boxborough public school. If there is early release, we will be closed. If afternoon and evening activities are closed, we will be closed. Make-ups for weather emergencies will not be scheduled, but students are welcome to try another class if it works for their age and schedule. Everyone will be emailed, and our Instagram and our Facebook page will be updated during weather emergencies.
